Legal at the state level. No idea on Crook County or Deerfield. I’m sure that semi auto mag fed ones (Lahti, Solithurn,etc.) plus the terrifying trio (Streetsweeper, Striker-12, and USAS-12) are problems there even if DDs themselves are fine.
It’s my understanding that one of the largest private mortar collections is somewhere in Lake County, IL. FWIW, AOWs and SBRs are legal in IL too. |

I knew SBRs were legal in IL with an extra hoop or two to jump through (I have one). I didn’t realize that DDs were.
