You have to be joking, right???
You can sit on the forearm to back the barrel up enough to spin the FS off that way, or if you want to use a barrel clamp in a vise, then you can pull the barrel to vise it up that way just behind the gas block. Hence the three bolts down each side of the forearm is all that holds the barrel assembly in the receiver. Hell, if you have some soft jaws for the vice, you can just soft jaw vise up on the gas block to support the barrel that way to spin the FS off.

I thought about using the gas block but I dont like doing that. Only that small pin is holding it? My luck I will BREAK it because CZ decided to use loc tite on the threads on my run of barrels......
I found that barrel vice you posted a photo of today and it'll arrive tomorrow so I'll give it a try. I already pulled the barrel out of the top half. I was going to fall back on putting it back together and clamping the whole thing in some wood in the vice . Since I have an 11" barrel, I had to take the barrel out to put the barrel in a vice. |
