Which one?  I have an Arlo setup and very happy with it.  Plenty of post on it.  I suspect you will do fine with either.  It really comes down to expectaions.  Any wireless system is never going to be a replacement of a wired system.

With Arlo you have Arlo, Arlo Pro, Arlo Pro 2. The Pro 2 can do 24/7 recording if you plug in the camera to power. I have the Arlo Pro and it works well. The motion lag can be a bitch, unless you overlap cameras to trigger outher cameras. Like driveway triggers front door and back door, back door triggers others, etc.

I have not researched Canary much. Arlo is just a stop gap measure until I buy 4K domes to make another layer of security. I do like the Arlo that is 4G LTE that you can stick anywhere.
