Boss. What is this tripod head gripper everyone's using? Hog saddle? Doesn't seem like it would grip it very well with those plastic barrel support blocks in the way. I see theres a picatinny adapter by Vortex wonder if its strong enough.

When the SCARs first were released the FDE color of the stock, lower, and upper receiver where very close, designed to match. But, matching plastic in FDE and metal anodizing in FDE is never that easy. Enough people complained that the metal and plastic parts didn’t quite match, and you had guys asking to send them in for “repairs” to fix it. FN finally had enough and said to hell with it. The buttstocks have kept the original color, but the lowers were turned more brown, and the anodizing on the upper has ranged from green to gold. |

I see a lot of eotech's on these 17s.
I always liked the Eotech but am an aimpoint guy for my ARs. How does the eotech fair with the scar17? Thinking I should go that route with magnifier |

Place holder. I decided to get in on the panic and FO on a 20s. I didn’t get the 6.5 of my dreams and kind of regret not paying $4500 for one of the first batch but I already have a stash of m118lr and I’m set up to reload 308.

Plus they fixed a couple gripes I had with the initial offering; banana yellow upper receiver and 1:12 barrel. The one you have seems like it has the more recent FDE/green shade on the upper but with the original SSR profile barrel. |

Finally picked this up. The optic is a place holder until I sell enough plasma to get an ATACR or maybe cheap out a little and go with the NX8.

I’m going to spam FN with requests to sell stand alone barrel assemblies and if/when I can get a 6.5 I’ll decide what to do with the 308. Either chop it to 16” or if I can commit to a suppressor by then cut it to 14.6” or whatever allows the can to fit flush and pin the muzzle device. |

Do any of you that have switched to an aftermarket handguard have the factory parts that you removed? I bought a 17 with a KDG Mrex rail and wanted to switch to parts from PMM. However, when I got them in, I didn't realize the Mrex uses the factory mounting hardware from the original side rails and bottom picatinny section. I haven't been able to find the factory parts online anywhere and FN never replied when I reached out to them.
