Yeah, I'm the CZ guy, I know, but something about this little gem speaks to me. Not sure why. No included sights is a little off putting but the world is your oyster with a full length rail, right?
Attached File https://cz-usa.com/product/cz-600-trail/ AR style safety and mag release, uses AR mags in 223, bolt action light rifle. The price tag is a wee bit much for my blood right now. Anyone else interested? |
Yes I kind of like that too. Yes I like CZ products as well. Yes it's a little to high for me to consider right now, hell I still haven't bought the P10m yet.
Now if they just take that concept and turn it into 308, 6.8 spc, 6.5 creedmoor. Now we are talking. |
They should have done .300BO...but this would only make sense for me in 7.62X39...
Hopefully it has a quick change barrel feature like the 457. It would be cool to SBR it, then put an 11" .300BO barrel and a can on it.
I want one, but the stock looks uncomfortable. We'll see how it feels when I can find one in person.
I was planning on a Ruger American 223 chassis rifle as a practice precision rifle, but this would end up costing about the same as that build, and is far more squared away for the purpose from the factory and with better features (besides that stock). |
Anyone seen one in the flesh? I've seen some of the other CZ 600 models, but no Trail yet.
waiting on some reviews and a 300blk model, it'll scratch my Q Mini-Fix itch for less than 1/3 the cost

Some chatting about this rifle at 13:00 mark between CZ and ARFCOMER James Reeves
The INCREDIBLE Variety of NEW CZ 600 Bolt Actions [IWA 2022] I really have my eyes on this thing. I'm not a huge fan of the stock but I havent seen one in person yet. |
I don't think the price is too far out of line for a chassis style bolt gun using AR 5.56 or Bren 2 7.62 x 39 magazines. I dropped a Ruger American Ranch AR magazine 5.56 in to an MDT LSS-XL chassis and spent a bit more than the asking price on this CZ.

I want one in 7.62x39. Chop it to 12.5", figure a way out to convert it to 6.5 grendel down the road.
I just put a 600 Lux in .223 on layaway, $840.00 plus tax will be the damage when all is said and done. Really beautiful rifle.
Anyone seen the trail in stock or pre order anywhere?
Seen a few placing list them as out of stock/coming soon. 7.62x39 particularly. |
I'll be getting the CZ 600 Alpha in .223/5.56. The trail just doesn't do it for me, but the Alpha....... yeah......

I see CZ has a safety recall on the 600's? wonder what the issue is?
I'm really wanting a Trail, hope they get it squared away soon. https://cz-usa.com/product/cz-600-trail/ |

Big banner right on their homepage, you don't even have to go to the 600 Series page. I had yet to see one or even hear of anyone who got one. |
The recall is concerning, but it seems like half or so new gun releases these days get one.
I have yet to see any 600s in the wild anyway. |
I haven't seen one yet. Hopefully there aren't many out and they get this cleared up ASAP.
Read the CZ warning. Sounds like the barrel can be installed wrong by the user and still fire, so their solution is to permanently attach the barrels (which removes a major feature of the 600) of guns turned in for the recall. I assume they'll redesign it and re-release it afterwards.
I heard that - CZ-USA says they are quite busy fixing this issue, so hopefully they find a good solid cure for the problem.
Same. I really like the idea of the Trail, even if the cheek piece looks way too far back.
Nope, but haven't been to a LGS in quite a while. CZ-USA's website still has a big banner up saying to not use any 600 series rifles due to a safety issue.
I think I would take one in 6mm ARC
I need something with more power than .223 and flatter shooting than 7.62x39/300 BO. |
Any word on when the 600 series will be available again, or the recall going to cause it to be scrapped?
I have to get time to ask - been busy as a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest.
They've teased 300BO
Will buy when available. What can for that? Nomad Ti? |

Definitely interesting as a pack gun. Although already heavier than my WWSD build, the OAL with the stock collapsed would be a big improvement.
Think these have a recall out. Think the barrel will be permanently attached to the receiver from present on out.
Definitely. I am a CZ guy too. Good luck finding one. I can't find shit.
The last word I got the other day is the recall is continuing, and new updated rifles without the barrel change feature should be available, but in what numbers or where, I do not know.
Military Arms Channel has a new video on this rifle with some information about the recall and changes/updates.
Some of the video is talk of CZ drama and not the rifle CZ 600 Trail - Is CZ USA in Trouble? |
I MIGHT have a line on an Alpha in .308...waiting to see if it comes true.

Quoted: I'm in the same boat. Weren't these supposed to be in the $800-900 range when they were released the first time? I completely forget. View Quote Well, the Alpha, the one I might be able to get, has an MSRP of $749. The Trail is $1,155, but the LUX, (one I really like), is $849. Having said that, my like for the Trail is also waning, following reviews and such, so the Alpha should be just fine for a guy like me. The most expensive if the Range model at $1,199, supposedly guaranteed 3/4 MOA at 100 yards with factory match grade ammo. |

I probably read it as the lineup starts around $800 and goes up without checking the Trails price. |
It seems odd that they would only guarantee 2" at 100 with the trail?
A couple chamberings of the 600 Alpha popped up on my local dealer's website. Wonder if they're updated or still the recalled version.
