I'd like to have a name engraved on a stainless (1911) slide, and I'd like it to be done with a CNC milling/router machine.

I can find lots of people doing this work with lasers, but I need actual machining for the depth of cut I'm looking for.

Can anyone recommend someone to me?

I have google-fu'd myself to distraction on this with no luck.

Thanks!

Where are you located?  And just as an FYI, a laser can go plenty deep enough, depends on the wattage of the laser and parameters set by the operator.

Thanks.
I'm in Florida.

And yes a laser can go deep. Earlier this year I traveled to Shenzen (China) to look at a 2KW laser for metal cutting ($30K USD, less than half of what it costs here).

But in this particular instance, I want the type of cut done by a mechanical CNC.
