I have a service grade(.30-06) that looks like the current "expert grade"-new wood, GI barrel well within specs for a new barrel, new park. Biggest flaw in the whole rifle is a weaker heel stamp than one that hasn't been refinished(but all marings are still very readable).
I wouldn't take $1000 for it.
So if you want one in .308, yes it's worth the price.
