Its the china coti. One of their sales people was trying to shill it on here before. Looked ok enough but not enough of a performance boost to justify a $2k price bump over a real COTI.

apparently going for $4000 now - spec and package seems impressive at that price, good FOV too.

Looks like it comes from a manufacturer in China.

I'm guessing I'm late to the party - some of these are available in Europe.

If its ex EU to the US 700 will be taken off the price (as the displayed price is VAT inclusive)

That looks bigger and heavier than COTI to begin with, and 2x18650 external battery pack required?

Thermal devices are power hungry - a 2 x 18650 power pack and connectors seems practical.

Buy one and let us know how good it is

If that website is legit a China skeet is only $3400

Not really in the market for one as I already have plenty of thermal for my needs.

If someone is looking for something that sits between a COTI and ECOTI, its there for them to check out.

Obviously you can buy an ECOTI for 8K........and as 99.9999% of people are not paired with AR training, teams, linking software and equipment.........3.5k seems a bargain.

C'mon guys, Nick Chen did a review of the jerry-c last week.

https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2021/01/15/jerry-c/

It honestly looks like a real winner depending on durability. He compares it to a standard coti for now, as he doesn't have an ecoti yet.

It seems to be what most people want out-of the ecoti (better sensor, 30.5 degree FOV) for half the price. The battery does stick out a bit, but the mentioned remote battery cable makes it a very small package.

But of course, china...

The fact that the battery holder removes to plug in the remote battery pack cable is genius to me. You shed that weight of a metal tube.

Who really cares if it takes two 18650 batteries when they go on the back of your head. I say the more the merrier as its a more useful counterweight than lead. And it comes with the battery pack and cable included. Which offsets the cost difference between that and a legacy coti, if you can even find a coti battery cable...

Hevr eally didn't compare the pas29 to China coti. Should have done a side by side comparison on a human being at various ranges. Pretty cool but he mentions its actually $5k which drops my interest to zero.

At 3.5k - 4k it seems a pretty solid deal.

I don't really feel comfortable sending $3-4k to a store Saarma tee 18 Uuesalu küla, Rae vald, Harjumaa, 75331, Estonia

Maybe they are legit maybe not...but I sure as shit don't want to be the one to find out.

Am I converting 4250 euros to USD the wrong way? Coming up with $5174, not 3.5-4... please explain my dumb.

You have to take 700 euros off first (remove the EU only VAT) e.g. 4200 euros becomes 3500 euros.

3500 euros is the price if you are not in Europe.  (just place the item in you basket and add the shipping state and country, you will see the VAT component come off the price).

For those that aren't aware Estonia has been a full member of the European Union EU since 2004.

I have bought some stuff from them and they are excellent to deal with - will even show photos through tubes to put your mind at rest. You can select your own tubes, they list the full spec per tube and they only sell stock that they have e.g. no waiting times if you are happy with the spec.

Night vision googles from them to my part of the world take an extra two weeks to deliver as they have to get an export licence specific to Australia - other than that its straight forward.

They are a small dealer as there isn't that much call for NODs in Europe.

If you want to contact them direct to ask questions you can do so using this [email protected] I have found them to be very responsive.

Why would I want that versus a regular coti for 3k? I though we hate china?

COTI is at end of product line life and it’s hard to find parts or get it serviced.

ECOTI is badass and $9K.

640 x
12 microns
30.5 FOV

Its an ecoti minus AR/HUD

Its certainly worth consideration for those that want this type of gear.
