Howdy all!

Just wondering if the latest Butler Creek hot lips or steel lips magazines are good to go and if there are any reliability issues with current production ?

I have some steel lip magazines from Circa 2013. I haven't shot them a whole lot but they've been flawless.

I have some from a long time ago, seemed to be OK, prefer the steel lip version, tho. I'd look for the Ruger mags, though, sometimes can be found fairly cheap.

I have two hot lips and two steel lips and a bunch of bx10 and bx25’s. Hot lips are junk. One steel lip mag works with no issues. Other one is problematic. I would suggest sticking to ruger mags. As they seem to always work. I like the bx10 with the gator clip that connects three 10 rounds together.

Get Steel Lips.

After hundreds of bricks.

Zero feed issues.

Would recommend the Ruger mags. You can take them apart to clean them which is a good thing on a 22.

The Steel/Hot lips not so much which is a deal killer for me.
