I'm guessing one of the risks this guy didn't consider mitigating is "my stupid teen wants to shoot up a school".

It is crazy what this world has become.

When I was in high school - the redneck boys had shotguns hanging in the windows of their trucks to go hunting after school.

In middle school I remember a kid bringing a P-38 to show and tell. (made me want one bad and I still want one).

You know what is coming next is the be the false accusations- like no one has ever been accused of domestic violence or rape.....

I went to high school in 1974-1976 in a suburb of Dallas.  There were plenty of 30-30's and shotguns in the parking lot.  In addition, we built cap-lock muzzle loader (kts from CVA and Dixie Gun Works) in shop class.  We even took them out on the football (real football) field and fired them with just wadding.  Plenty of my classmate brought old Mausers, M1s, etc to shop class for their wood refinishing project.

We had fights, pot, booze, etc, but nobody ever got killed or shot up the school.
