And here is my reading of the ruling:

Bump Stocks are not yet legal.

GOA has a suit in the 6th court. The appeals court only ruled that GOA is likely to succeed, and the trial court erred in not issuing the injunction. So it is back at the trial court. They will likely issue an injunction, which is moot as all of SlideFire's inventory has been destroyed and they OOB. Everyone else had a boating accident. Maybe they will go SCUBA and find those stocks.

And this ruling ONLY applies in the 6th Circuit.

It is still a long way from "legal" and you can bet Feinstein has already added (if not there from day 1) bump stocks to her AWB.

Waiting for the this decision to be overturned.  

Common sense and at least one failed persecution against bumpstock owners should have told us that!

Glad to see the courts are coming around. Better late than never I guess.

Are lawyers lining up to sue the ATF for compensation for destroyed bump stocks?

I wonder how many bump stocks will magically appear from the grave when they are officially made legal.

I don't think anyone would have valid (legal) claim against the government unless the government destroyed it, and even then, only if it was seized and not voluntarily surrendered/forfeited.

They set it up that way decades ago, for their benefit.

People can still pay a lawyer to attempt and fail, if they want.
Lawyers like that.

On the rare occasion any court makes a pro-gun ruling, it is almost always immediately overturned.

The huge majority of judges are anti-gun.

Remember the bump stock case as appealed to the supreme court and they punted?

Don't dig up your bump stocks yet.

I'd love to be wrong, but I don't think so.  

BumpSAWs in general were fun as hell. I had mostly finished a BumpDTM when things went sideways - I haven't had the heart to work on it since so for now it just sits there without a stock/grip at all.
