A question for those who know. I'm thinking of sbsing a browning A5, are there any problems with just cutting the barrel? I'm asking about reliabity issues. I don't want to ruin a barrel with them costing what they do.

If it’s a Belgium Browning in good shape, I would leave it be. Browning barrels can be bought pretty easily.

It’s pretty easy to cut a barrel. Should not effect performance.
