Regarding this:

How can it be safe and effective? The marketing materials show it being handled without gloves. What do you think? Has anyone tried it?

I'll stick to a silicone treatment on mine. I've done it for years and it works like magic. Some say Dot 5 has the same effect but not in my exp.

I wouldn't look too into the photos. They appear to be done for marketing purposes. The baffles in the pic are brand new.

Screw those hand modeling photos. Give me the before and after.

Bore-tech carbon remover is amazing, for what it’s worth.

I use silicone paste because it sticks like grease.

I've heard dunk it in a jar of Slip2000 Carbon Cleaner.

Yep, I've been using DANCO plumbers grease for quite a while - very pleased with the results.   YMMV

I may be missing something obvious but how are you getting that grease out of/off the baffles? If it's a rimfire can I get it, but on a sealed can I would think it would get in there and want to stay in there?

You can't use it in a sealed can and everything is serviceable now. I use dielectric grease.
