My memory is getting bad.

Still ok to use FFG? It’s more course so if I understand right isn’t as powerful. I usualy use 25 or 30 grains I think. It’s been a while since I shot it because I couldn’t find powder anywhere.

Ok thanks,

Nipples have been removed and shotgun primers used so should be no problem with ignition.

I’ll up the charge. I use wonder wads so should be ok.

I didn't know you could convert a revolver to use shotgun primers. Please explain.

@AASG
@AeroE

Sorry for late reply.

As below. I’ve fitted these to my ruger. You could fire nitro powder after getting the gun proofed. Lots do around here I’m sure they had them tested :)

A lot better ignition than with nipples.

Only difficulty is ejecting the spent primer. I’ve fitted a replacement ram rod fir quick cylinder removal I eject the primer with a punch and load on a stand with a little pusher on it.

Remembered got it from here with the quick release

So apparently they don't make those for anything other than rugers.

A and A will I’m sure. Give him a ring he’s a nice guy.

I’ve had good luck. Have to use cci primers.

I’ve learned if they are tight don’t force them otherwise you won’t get them out without a lot of trouble.

Shotgun Primer Nipples – £10.00 each – £60.00 for a set.
Do your cap fall off or do not get reliable ignition. Why not convert your revolver by fitting our shotgun primer cups. They are 100% reliable, easy to fit and quick and convenient. They also save on powder due to their power and are cheaper than caps.
For use with medium and coarse black powder or black powder substitutes.
Convert your revolvers to shoot with shotgun primers. Just screw in the new ones. No gunsmithing required.  No more caps falling off and jamming the action.   Please state the make of pistol when ordering.

Neat.  Probably a Good Idea that the primers are well retained.  Now you need about 6 cylinders!

Yeah, but have you seen the price over here.  Need a set up like Clint in Pale rider.

The things built like a tank if 6 don’t get the job done I’ll use it as a melee weapon.

Triple 7 sucks.  Welcome to hangfire/misfireville.  Scrap it and buy real black powder.

The smallest amount of FFFF black in the bottem of the cylinder, load before the 777 would help a lot to keep it 100%
Ie a 22 short shell leveled off would do it.
Glue one on a handle and dip to scoop it up, it moves fast to reload.
