Seems crazy…but is it? To be clear, I need to bump the shoulder a little bit on some loaded rounds. I do have a Redding case body die. Thoughts??

Pull the projectile and powder. Bump your shoulder and make sure it chambers right. Then pour powder back in and seat projectile to proper length.

Yes that shit is crazy and you’re asking for a kaboom in your press…with you next to it. I don’t know, maybe I’m being a bitch but after loading stuff for the past decade I’ve never heard of anyone bumping a shoulder on a loaded round.

What is a little bit? As another post said, the material has to go someplace and most likely will go towards the neck possibly growing the COAL.

Were the cases also sized prior to loading last time or just neck sized? Reason for asking, if the body wasn't sized, the neck will most likely grow even longer after they are body sized with shoulder bump.

I personally just pull the bullet, then bump the shoulder with a FL sizing die and trim if necessary to get the desired case length.
