Tony Ben http://www.tonybenm14.com/home.html

or Jon Wolfe http://wolfefirearms.com/

Not sure if any are backlogged or if they're accepting new work at the moment.

Tim at Warbirds Custom Rifles did good work for me. That was years ago, not sure if he's still working or not.

His website is still up. I just sent him an email to see if he's still in buisness.

I used Ted Brown to barrel a couple of M1 Carbines.  Did a great job.  Quick and reasonably priced.
Here is a link to his website.

The above mentioned are all good.  So is Jon Tank, at Tank's Rifle Shop.

I've used both Smith Ent and Warbirds in the past. Both are excellent at what they do.

The only thing I would do is have the barrel installed and head spaced and do the rest of it yourself, assuming you are capable.  Unless you are going to do some NM modifications like unitizing the gas system or glass bedding.

This, in my case though I eve did the barrel work. Pick up a copy of the M1/M14 shop manual, watch a few of Tony’s vids on youtube, and you should be all set. The only issue you can run into is the shoulder of the barrel needing a few thousand lathe off, but you’ll know if you hand tighten it and it clocks good or bad.

Did they happen to disclose their estimated time of completion?

I have had LRB do the same for me. You will be happy. Also have three Wolfe built rifles as I live up the road about an hour from them. Tony Ben would also be an excellent choice. Good guy.

How is Fulton Armory? I plan to have my M1A rebarreled along with some other work.
