New to this and dont know where to go for MP5 mags.

People post deals here often.
New German mags for under $70 are a pretty good deal right now. Buy once, cry once IMHO. https://www.eurooptic.com/HK-206349S-HK-SP5K-MP5-9mm-30rd-magazine-MPN-206349S.aspx Gundeals has then for as low as $62, but I cannot vouch for any of those vendors. https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/642230254336 |

I too am looking for mags. Want best deal on factory HK.
So I see places that have “German made MP5” mags. They seem to not say factory HK mags but worded such most people would think so. Are these the same as factory HK mags? Even Gunbroker has some listed as german made but seem packaged different than factory HK. Any know the difference? |

I think I got some germans from midway for low 60s with the birthday pricing.
|

Do they have date codes or anything? I ordered 5 of the ral8000 mp5 mags direct from hkusa website and they all came in the same ziplock bag nothing official.

(When in stock) I've found the cheapest, with tax and shipping was from Botach... I know... But I've ordered several times with no issues. |

You can usually find German mags around $65 if you shop around. POF and MKE mags are also good but the price has crept up so much on them that they're almost as much as HK mags. The days of $30 POF mags are long gone
|
|
|
It seems like the KCI mags have crept up to $50 which makes them irrelevant with HK mags being only about $15 more
Curious to see how the new polymer mags work in the long tern |
|
|
I ended up going with Omaha Outdoors. $75 each with free shipping. YMMV.

I’ve got some of the Overwatch Precision mags.
They fit my POF and PTR and hand cycle rounds. If I can just get to the range to verify function, MidwayUSA has them for $22 and free shipping over $50. They really feel like quality mags and if they work I will grab a few more. The ETS mags that came with my PTR actually work fine but they hey are over $30 each now. |

@Dace
RTG is GTG, but I don't have an MP5. I heard MKE mags are good. $50.00 https://www.robertrtg.com/store/pc/MKE-MP5-30RD-STEEL-MAGAZINE-NEW-129p2246.htm |

MKE mags are good and $50 is a good price for them. They're usually closer to $60, at which point it's smarter to just spend the extra $5-10 on HK. I might grab a few for myself at that price.

I’ve had success finding mp5 packages on gunbroker with multiple mags and offering to buy a few from the seller. Most guys know they aren’t getting full value for mags as part of package
Get for $55 ish for German mags |

It looks like the days of cheap metal mags are over. Hopefully HK doesn't follow the trend and up the price on their mags as well If memory serves, I think I paid around $25 for the kci mags only a couple years ago. |

Quoted: Lanbo's has always been gtg for me. View Quote Me too, and unlike places like Battlehawk or Lockedandloaded which often have very slightly better prices, but charge $25 for shipping, Lanbo’s is usually $10. It’s also worth mentioning, if it says “warehouse” on Lanbo’s site, it comes straight from the RSR in Texas as can be confirmed by the return address on those packages. |

Quoted: This. When the KCI mags cost $15 they were worth it for sure, but that was long ago. I wouldn't buy a polymer mag (except Magpul's D50). View Quote Omg I blinked and A3 stocks went to 1k dollars and now KCI mags are 50 bucks I went and price checked after seeing your post because I nearly didnt believe it They were 30 bucks not long ago. I have a box full of them |

I went and price checked after seeing your post because I nearly didnt believe it They were 30 bucks not long ago. I have a box full of them Even used HK curved mags were going for $40 to $50 back then. I had traded into some (and a Beta C mag) but I needed more mags for range use (and was only making $14/hour back then). I had to “polish” the inside of the KCI mags with 0000 steel wool (since the phosphate coating was so coarse) and stretch the springs in some of them, but it was worth the effort. It seems the guys who have problems with them never try those 2 fixes. The KCI gen2 seems to have resolved the coating issues. Mine are due for new springs and I see Wolff sells a 10-pack for $56 so that’s good. I’m going to buy at least one D50 but it sucks they rest so close to a K’s VFG. The Beta C mag looks funny in a K because it’s as big across as the whole gun. High cap mags are more fun in a full-size MP5 anyway. It shoots smoother and the mag lasts a little bit longer. |

Quoted: IKR If you think that’s bad, try to find an HK53 A3 stock. Yeah I loaded up on the $15 ATI mags (from CDNN I’m pretty sure) back in 2010, before the Koreans ditched ATI and started their own KCI brand.
