Just filed my form 1 for my Mossberg Shockwave I'll be making into a SBS, where is the best location to engrave it?  My SBR I did on the bottom of the receiver by the trigger guard but wasn't sure about SBSs.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Mine has the makers info engraved on the barrel, IIRC. If I get time I'll drag it out and look.

ETA: Yup. The trust and location are engraved on the left side of the barrel, right below '12 gauge cylinder bore'. Done in small (1/16"?) letters and re-blued, it's practically un-noticeable.

I'm not saying this is the best location, but I like it, it's still visible under the side saddle and you just have to turn the shotgun over to see it under there.

I usually engrave mine on the underside of the receiver, right in front of the the loading port.

I also engraved the barrel.

The barrel is legal but I prefer to engrave the receiver. Then I can swap barrels with just one trip to the engraver.

Mine is on the bottom of the receiver, just in front of the shell lifter/loading gate.

Blackened after laser engraving, unobtrusive and well done.
