I heard from a few People that Scorpions are going to be made in 45acp, is that right???

The SMG-45 is $3k+ with 60-70 mags..... the APC is $2600 with $100-150 mags.... what gives?

Is there a practical price for a PDW in 45acp that isn’t an AR platform?

The Thompson M1 or Tommy gun can still get it done and the lightweight version might fit the bill or the lightweight pistol version.

Yeah, but the USC comes with a 16” unthreaded barrel, and 10 round mag capacity.  You’re adding a lot more money to convert to UMP, and then you’re up to the $60-70 UMP mags like the SMG-45 (unless you get one of the older conversions that used M3 grease gun mags).

You can find a USC for under $1300 pretty easily now so total you'd be into a conversion is around $2000, which is still less than a SMG45 or APC45. I think I spent around $1800 total when I did mine a few years back, then later spent a couple hundred more to SBR it. Tom Bostic sells stripped UMP clone receivers now too so saving a few bucks and building a pistol is even an option now too.

That would have been my first choice, but OP excluded ARs.

Don’t skip arm day, still 9.5lbs according to their website. Recoils should be nonexistent.

I really like my KRISS VECTOR and it takes Glock 21 mags, which are cheap and plentiful. Their extended 30rd mags are a bit pricey, but very reliable.

Extar has a .45.  Cheap too around $500.  I just got a vector and loved it till today.   I finally got my 16.5mm LH piston for it.  It sucks with a can.  Loud, twice the recoil.  Gas to the face.  Granted so was my Glock 21.  .45 sucks to suppress. If you dont have a can then good to go.  Mine is super accurate.
