Bud’s has them for under 700 bucks?

Weren’t they just going for a grand?   Checked funbroker and it looks like buy it now pricing is similar for a few retailers?

Seems like a steal, any catch?  I was thinking it would be sweet to get a 24 inch 1301 comp barrel with chokes, but they retail for $600, which seems excessive.

Don’t need it, but have been wanting a 12 g semi that I can theoretically use for 3 gun.  Which I don’t do, but you know, one day....

Closing out....

TSS has them for $640.

ETA....where are you seeing 1301 Comps for $600?  I’d be all over that.

The 1301 is a definite buy!  I thought I did good about a year ago for $800 something.  $640 is a killer price!!

I think he's saying just the barrel costs that much.

The 1301 comp and the tactical have different sized recievers, so I'm not sure if the barrels will interchange. I bought a tactical from TSS at $650 shipped.

Beretta barrels are $$$, it's cheaper to just buy the model you really want. I've had a 24" Comp for 2 years and have nothing bad to say about it. It just runs.

Yep. I wish the comp was 600.  But that was the barrel cost.  I was hoping maybe I could get the tactical and then upgrade to the comp barrel later on for 3-400. But that looks unlikely.

Picked mine up from TSS at my dealers last night, I absolutely love it. But yes the cost of a new barrel and lack of choke option kind of makes it a one trick pony but, I’m okay with that.

Closing out? New model on the horizon?

They won't.

The price drop on the 1301T is due to Beretta trying to clear inventory so they can sell the new models as detailed above.

The new guns have some nice features...but if I didn't already have two Beretta 1301 shotguns and I was interested in buying one I'd happily buy one of the old ones for $600-700 instead of getting a new one. The new features on the revised guns are nice, but not enough to make me want to avoid the discount on the older 1301T.

@John_Wayne777

I saw you post about this shotgun in the M2 vs 1301 thread.

I have a few questions:

1) Is it easy to add a magazine extension?

2) Do you use a shell carrier?  If so, which one and is it easy to install?

I put a Nordic on my primary gun with no problem.

I buy the Vang Comp shell carrier card...note, the product number below is the card only:

Brownells

100-005-248WB
Extra Carrier

Then I attach it by just sticking industrial strength velcro directly to the receiver of the 1301. The 1301's receiver is anodized aluminum so the finish won't be harmed by that. This combo works better than any other side-saddle style shell carriers I've tried...and I've tried most of them. It's also cheap and easy, which is always good.

Got it.  I may have more questions later.

Thank you.

Not possible due to the different receivers used. And I'll add, don't try. It's not safe.

below photo from GunCat in this thread:
https://www.ar15.com/forums/armory/Beretta-1301-tactical-vs-Mossberg-930/1-471200/?#i4716721
GunCat writes,
Mechanically the guns operate the same and share the same design. The receiver, loading and ejection port, along with some trigger group components are longer on the Comp model vs the Tactical model. (The Comp model uses the 3.5" size receiver to give extra room i nthe loading port area)

I got one of the 1301’s and finally got the extension as they had been out of stock everywhere for a while.
