[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Becker BK 2 Campanion $ 70 sharpened crowbar

I bought a BK-2 years ago. It is a k-bar made one after Becker became a k bar line. It's made in Olean, New York out of 1095 and it's thick as a lonely girl with Haagen Daz.

One night some coaxial line off an old dish TV on the house (long gone) came loose and started banging against my window in a storm. Annoyed I cut it with my BK-2

. That did a pretty good job of taking the edge off.

I saw it in a drawer tonight and sharpened it with sharp maker. I did used the diamond rods along with the regular rods. I was surprised when it cut steak like a kitchen knife. It even cut apples like a kitchen knife.

I know the crowbars have fallen out of fashion but it's a pretty serious knife for $ 72.

I picked one up a few months ago, it is a beast for sure.

Next knife on the list for me is an LT Wright Outback.

I replaced the handle set with some G10 textured similar to VZ's 1911 grips... made the grip slimmer and substantially less slip-prone.
Turned a solid knife, into a great knife.

I keep it in my truck as my do-anything-anywhere-anytime knife.

Hot dog? That is a Apple chicken sausage link my son asked for.

The knife is $ 72 prime on Amazon, I didn't find it cheaper elsewhere in the few seconds I looked, plus the knife stores usually require $ 100 for free shipping

I bought one a couple years ago to stab skulls.... just in case. Don't use it much.

LOL crowbar - the things are stout.

I think I still have the original Becker Companion hanging around somewhere. Gloss gray finish.

Need to dig through storage again.

I’ve got - or had a BK7. Beast of a knife.

My son has it now. I used it camping and just goofing around in the woods.

I recently picked up a Gerber Strongarm and while I like it and it’s a fairly heavy blade, I do miss that BK 7.
The BK 2 looks like just the right size.
