My recently acquired Mossberg 500 20ga was feeling very jealous of her big brother, the 500 ATP 12ga.
To remedy the situation and avoid any stress in the family I made her a bayonet mount. Now she can be just as stabby..................    If there's any interest we could make it as a product. The bayonet is from an FAL. |

The flapper on the bottom has a tab that goes into a slot on the mount.

(as far as I can tell) I've got a plain fudd 12ga coming to verify, but my ATP barrel nut is the same pitch. The mount will only fit this style of FAL bayonet. But they are cheap and we'd probably offer the whole thing as a package. |

You would have to do something really stupid to get it stuck and then not have the forethought to simply detach it from the gun before you extract it. |

Always thought a cruciform bayonet for an M4 might be cool. Or even a smaller form on a railed pistol might be useful.

To do it on a shockwave it would have to stick out farther than the end of the barrel.
My concept here is to turn all those cheap, boring, fudd 500's into something more "useful". |

Found a cheap 500 in 12ga. My bayonet adapter bolted right up no problem.
I'm going to finalize dimensions and see about getting them made. quick photo
