They call that "III+" despite it being Polyethylene and thus not capable of defeating M855.

It's not an NIJ listed plate. They say it's made in the US, but they don't say by who. They've got a single test report from NTS. It's an unconditioned dry test, not full 0101.06 level III. The first shot has a BFD over 44 which should fail their own abbreviated test, and they've marked over the "Manufacturer" sample description (as well as who the customer was).  Here's the same test report from East-West Consolidated/Tactical Scorpion Gear, a chinese importer. Is it made in the US? Who knows. There's no reason to trust EWC/TSG though.

Your best bet for an affordable "III+" plate that is made by a reputable company is the RMA III+.

Thank you so much, this is the information that I was actually looking for but didn't know how to articulate. Would you say RMA's other products are good to go as well?

RMA has good stuff. Buffman has done tests of a few of their plates. Their steel plates are a recent addition to meet market demand and aren't made by them. And they're steel.

RMA are good Americans and make quality products. The only thing about those 1091-1094 plates is the thickness, be sure your carrier can handle 1.2" plates.
