I was issued a Balimoy marked lower on my agency issue M16A2.  I know the lower was originally an A1 but I was curious what happened to the company.

Does anyone know what an E M forge mark represents on an A2 upper?

My barrel is marked 3S679 MP 5.56 NATO 1/7

BCG appears to be chrome and marked C for Colt.

I know that the 3s679 is FN's cage code. Can't help with the other stuff

Balimoly, emco, toolcraft and others were/are spare parts suppliers if I’m not mistaken.

E M should mean Emco - Martin Marietta but this is just a guess..
