What am I doing wrong? Butt pad is loose and falls off.


ETA. DUH. Pin too far in. Pull out just enough to CLICK in place.

Very. I was in the same conundrum and then epiphany as the OP around 18 years ago when I got my first AUG.

That's a feature by design. It allows you to access the storage compartment without having to remove the pin

Had this happen to me, I thought for sure I broke something while assembling/disassembling. I got my AUG this year…
