I'm almost 100% sure they are APIT projectiles.
But I've never seen this type of boat tail on APIT projectiles, how the end cap is holding the tracer cup and compound and how round the nose is. Wanted to make sure they are just APIT projectiles and not something special before I start blasting away with them.

Yes, that foil covers the tracer element to keep moisture from it.
If you want reliable lighting all the time, poke a hole in the foil. Only the ones that you plan on using for the day or weekend. That way they don't get ruined by moisture getting to them. Plus if they swell, it will crack the necks on the brass they're loaded in. |

Yes, APIT for sure. Make sure you don't start any fires out in Ohio, they can be surprisingly fiery.

I'm guessing they are PI (product improved). They went with a PI boat tail for the M17 tracer many years ago.
