The one on the right is 300gr. One on left is 287gr.

The guy I bought them from said he thought they were Bergers.

They both measure .338”

I saw slight serrations towards the tip so would those be the hunting rounds? The J4 jacket tactical bullets don’t have serrations right?

Hard to tell for sure from the pictures but it looks like an Elite Hunter...

FWIW they’re good bullets and work as advertised.

Thanks!

Still trying to figure out the 287gr bullets. They have the same boat tail but seem very short on the ogive.

Maybe seconds?

Maybe one of these?  Hornady hasn’t impressed me with bullet weight consistency in the past, and two extra grains of projectile is plausible...

The ogive and meplat of the 287gr looks similar to a Hornady 75gr.

The meplat on the 287gr is more pronounced than the 300gr. They remind me of Hornady 140gr bthp’s in 6.5mm

I didn’t know Hornady made 285gr. Guess they don’t anymore.

I don’t think Berger would have released 285gr projectiles that are supposed to be 300gr.

The more I think about it, I think they are Hornady's.

Thanks for everybody’s help.

I believe Hornady still makes the ELD 285’s, just not the BTHP’s.
