A new pistol laser from STEINER at Shot but it wasn't overly impressive. We were kind of slammed around the time of Shot so I didn't get to check out all that much, spent too much time on the phone back in my hotel room.

PERST lasers out of Russia are fantastic on both IR laser and illuminator side. The price is right, too. They're full power units.

Was reviewing the shot show coverage. Tor-Mini IR VPC seemed to be fairly high interest. A somewhat budget minded variable power pistol based OTAL.
The xVL2-IRC seemed more interesting, but it’s price point is highly questionable. It is like a pistol MAWL with a bonus white light-but with an msrp of $1350 it misses the budget for many-plus no real indication if it is carbine friendly. Honestly while it does have the red laser, other than that it is very much like the streamlight released last year. |

Just know that when something goes wrong, you are paying to send it back to Russia like me. Buy from a reputable source like Ivan Tactical or Bear Optics and you'll be GTG. They sell to the military community and have adopted US style high end customer service |

Great little laser, especially for PDW/PCC/SMGs with limited rail space, and the Unity FUSION system and stubby VFG with a Surefire M300V makes for a great, compact little package. I’ve got some initial impressions of the XVL2-IRC on my Instagram and I’ll probably have some more detailed impressions and photographs in a little bit here, but while somewhat pricey at $1,299, it’s a very cool little device, and for Glock 17s and 19s at least, with a holster to match. ~Augee |

I feel you will be overly impressed with the new TOR Mini IR VPC. I specifically have been in the design work for many years getting a variable power C1 laser to market. I have been testing and refining this unit for several years and not just handling it at Shot.
For $269.00 retail we feel it will be best cost effective laser to date.
