I made a mistake on one of the dates, otherwise ai think it would have been approved. Is there a way to get an expedited 5320, thinking of calling tommorow. If I dont, I wont be able to go.

Approved: 8/6/20 Received: 8/14/20 (partial) I filed my annual 11 firearm forms for 10 states. Got 3 of them in the mail today. Not the first time that’s happened. But it is the first time I’ve gotten an “Approved, with conditions“ note. I have one particular lower registered as 5.56, but I’ve submitted 5.7 as the caliber for the past 5 years. This year I moved that upper to a braced lower and put a 10.5” 50 Beowulf upper on this lower. The “50” is highlighted on all 3 forms (so I’ll assume the other 7 are the same), and it says “#4 USA28XXX Caliber = 5.56” down in the approval box. I called to explain and left a voice mail. Uggh. |

So I sent one email, with one 10-page PDF. Not one email with ten 1-page PDFs...not ten emails with one 1-page PDF. A single email with a single PDF. Yet three of them were approved on the 6th and postmarked the 11th. The others were approved on the same day (8/6) by a different examiner and postmarked on the 21st. I’ve had forms show up a couple days apart, but never had a single PDF handled by more than one person. The good news is the other seven didn’t have the “condition” added to the Approved box. Gotta love how the ATF is always consistent.

Nobody would strip pages out of a PDF to email to other examiners. |
