The barrel face looks...complex.

A friend has the bright idea to build a target sporter from a barreled action he has.

Seems like boring and threading an old barrel stub might be a viable work around.

Just how much improvement does your friend think he's going to achieve? K31 is quite accurate as is. How accuracy is your friend capable of? Lack of precision might not be a gun problem.

He has a few , including some very accurate ones.

He’s intrigued with the design, picked up a few cheap barreled actions, one of which has a very poor bore.

So he thought he would like to rebarrel it and build a target rifle on the action.

He’s decently accurate.

We picked the best of the barreled actions and he stocked it and ran some of his handloads through it.

50 yards, irons.
