Looking for info regarding a rifle in that caliber.
I have a rifle in 33 WCF, can't find a model #, probably 1886, Serial # is...011. Have a 1/2 a box of cartridges but don't plan on shooting.  Pat Oct 14, 1884 & below it Jan 20 1885.  Any info would be appreciated, and don't know why I can't attach a pic.  Pretty good looking old rifle.
Thanks,
Greg

Introduced in 1902 for the 1886 model, Win also chambered it in the 1885 single shot and Marlin did it in the model 95.  Was very popular but got discontinued around 1940 along with the model 86 rifle.

Don't shoot your original ammo, it has real value.  Custom loaders make cases and ammo for it but expect to pay about $5/per round.

If you have dies, you CAN make brass from 45-70 brass but there is lots of forming going on and you'll need new or freshly annealed brass for it to have a chance to work.  Original bullet diameter was 0.333" but 0.338" bullets should work.

*edited, like oops had a wrong model number in there!

the 33 winchester was replaced by the 348 winchester cartridge in the Model 71, basically an updated half magazine, pistol gripped version of the 1886...

this company has fully formed and ready to load brass, not cheap though...
