So, my sons ready to make the leap to competitive shooting, so he needs a good belt. He’s wanting to do USPSA, 3 gun, and is already signed up for his first run and gun.

He needs a stiff belt that’s 27 inches long.

What’s my best bet?

There are plenty of threads on here about belts.  Sounds like he needs a 1.75-2” type belt ( duty or lo pro molle ) his waist size ( or lack of ) will limit what he can carry- which is a good thing.  Look at the inner/outer belt systems that mate with Velcro.  These will be the most stable

Yeah, I'm having trouble finding one that small. 30 seems to be the smallest I can find.

Plus, an...economical belt would be a plus. I really don't want to drop $100 on a belt that he'll outgrow by next year.

Just curious if any knew of an outlet for a bean pole kid.

I just listed a First Spear “Assaulters Gun Belt” in the EE for $25.  It’s a size small. IM me if you are interested and I’ll give you a better deal since it’s for a new shooter.

If you need help with one custom sized for him let me know.

I made a 3/4 scale Crye JPC style PC for my nephew.
