I'm currently considering purchasing an air brush kit for applying Norrell finishing on 80% lowers. Complete kit prices are all over the place. The kits I'm considering are complete kits that include the compressor. I'd like to hear from someone here who is experienced doing this, and what air brush kit do you recommend. Finished pictures would be a plus! Thx.

Harbor Freight worked fine for me..   dont get the cheap one.. go delux/premium or whatever its called.

Norrells works very well with inexpensive Harbor Freight or Badger "external mix" siphon type airbrushes. Here's a few projects done with Norrells and a scope finished with Duracoat.

Nice smoothy8500! Today with my new Harbor Freight air brush kit I refinished two engraved 80% AR lowers. I sand blasted them first with using a HF cheapie blasting gun ($19.99). Works fine for what I'm doing, but had to fill small hopper 3 times with sand just for one lower. Washed parts, pre heated them @ 325 degrees then used Norrells moly resin on both. Back in oven for another hour then removed. Both came out great! One A1 (gray-black flat) and other A2 (black SOCOM flat). Sometime next week I'll post a couple pictures. This Norrell moly resin seems like a great finishing product for firearms. Best part is it matches original A1 retro gray almost to a T! Couldn't ask for more.

Here is new M4A1 lower in Norrells Moly Resin SOCOM Black Flat. Not a bad match on my 20yr old Colt Model 6922 complete upper:
