I have a Sten Mk5 and 2 extra front ends… I want to have one of the fronts threaded and add a 3 lug for my Gemtech Raptor.. Are there any issues with this with regard to excessive wear on the gun? I would think that an open bolt would might mitigate some of the potential issues of higher pressures.. but what do I know……

Thanks in Advance…

I've had both a Mk II and MK V threaded and with an added 3-lug.  No issues.

I have a 3-lug mount and YHM 3-lug adapter on the way to me.  Hopefully I can offer a report on using the combination of my YHM R9 and STEN Mk. II soon.

Used to have a Pike Arms threaded barrel with a 3 lug adapter permanently attached on one of my Stens.  It worked great with a Ti-Rant 9, but looked kinda hokey.  Replaced it when I was able to track down an integral SCRC MK25 that replaces the barrel shroud/nut, not made any longer and obviously hard to find for sale but both GSL and Curtis Tactical are making similar suppressors now.  Highly recommend CT, I had them build me a similar integral suppressor for my Steyr MPi and it runs perfectly.
