For that price I’d think it’s worth a snag if you’re able to get a look through the tube, just understand the drawbacks and pros to what you’re buying. As long as it’s functional I’d say it’s an ok deal

It depends on the specs, Photonis tubes are technically gen 2 but they perform very well. Gen 2+ is probably referring to the older 57lp/mm resolution and 19SNR ish tubes, they're okay but nothing great. You'll benefit from additional IR illumination.
