I used stencils I found on eBay. They were a pain in the arrs to put on so I kinda free-handed it.  I just found These and they look a lot better.  I love doing these, if your in Florida, I'd do it for you.  And that goes for anyone else. Just MUST have EXTREME PATIENCE!!!

Here is my rifle. I cleaned it with a microfiber towel before painting, and the furniture had mud it that I took off with soap and hot water. I did it over two days. I did a green base coat and then a brown layer then a tan layer. Afterwards I touched up with green where there was too much of brown or tan.

Got home from work this morning... Decided to go a different route with camo, so I stripped all the krylon off that I applied yesterday, and started fresh

After stripping that down back to "black" and re-applying the FDE, then doing the "pinestraw effect" on her... Pretty much the best, most applicable camo in the lower 48 states!!!

Seems like a fun way to test your krylon skills.

After a while you start testing patterns on stuff, and then all the flashlights in your house (even the ones in the kitchen) are camo'ed.

That's exactly what happened. Learned you can't paint otterbox phone cases. Looked good, just a little sticky.....

Been trying to perfect a Mutlicam Pattern. This is my first try. I need to lighten it up quite a bit but I'm very pleased with the pattern.  This was using blue tape stencils I made at home.

Sub2000

Second test was on a pmag. I have two more mags that are in the process as I try to perfect the coloring etc.

Besides the coloring being a little off (needs more tan and brown, less green), the pattern is spot-on  Great job!

Each side actually has 4 green stripes and 3 tan stripes. Paint was Rustoleum ultra flat camo and one Satin color. Colors were Khaki base, then striped with Camouflage Sand , and Army Green. Then striped over that with Deep Forest Green and Satin Dark Taupe to create a fade from one color to another . Then I dusted the stripes again with the Camo Sand and Army Green. I made some Multicamish stencils on craft paper and cut out with an Xacto knife, and painted them on with Earth Brown, and Khaki.

Details please. I like this

Here's a kryptek style camo I just finished up.

Unlike a lot of the two-tone stencil jobs, I wanted the paint to be a functional camo foremost.

After all, Kryptek IS a camouflage, so just mimicking the pattern doesn't do it any justice.

My only regret is the black didnt show through as much as I had hoped it would to give a great contrast.

Next time I will add more after the top coat.

Like all of my camo jobs on my rifles, I use regular spray paint that's cheap and readily available, and the whole process only took about 30 mins, including the dry time of the first side.

So it can be reapplied easily and quickly.
