I have an M82a1 and I know it isn't known for accuracy.  I found it interesting that the cost for Hornady 750 AMAX is the same as Barrett Ball ammo.  The BC is higher on the AMAX load but what is a reasonable expectation for increase in accuracy shooting the AMAX from a M82a1 knowing it isn't a precision rifle.  Will I see an improvement in group size?

We tested the AMAX a lot when I was at Barrett. We got some pretty consistent 1-1.5 MOA out of quite a few guns we finalized a load for . We used H50BMG and 8700 powders.
The AMAX bullets started getting pretty pricey, so we stopped to work with solid coppers turned out on one of the CNC lathes at work. The solid coppers with a .125" diameter hollow point  .750" deep worked really well. I believe the weight ended up being around 725-750 grain.
Just trying to go off of memory here. But those measurements and weight are really close.
