I recently got my hands on a knife that every time I pick up I feel like I can get rid of every other fixed blade knife I have.
For those not familiar with Abraham and Moses, this is a company started by Bill Geissele and named for his two young sons. When one of his kids showed an interest in knives, Bill decided to start a company to show them what it takes to create and run a business.
With no experience in knife making, Bill partnered up with master knife maker Lou Goodman, and this is the result of that partnership.
The description for this knife reads:
Perfect Combat Knife Designed by Veteran SOF Soldier
The Abraham & Moses Lou Goodman Special Operations Combat Knife (GSOCK) is a collaboration with master knife maker and veteran SOF soldier Lou Goodman.
This full tang knife is 10.625” and features a 5.655” blade made from Carpenter Technologies PD1 steel. The G10 handle compliments a lengthened ricasso that allows the knife to be used for a multitude of tasks beyond cutting.
Blade Color: Nano, Black
Blade Length: 5.655"
Blade Steel: Carpenter Technologies PD1 Steel
Blade Type: Drop-Point
Handle Color: Desert Dirt Color
Style: Fixed
The fully ambidextrous "Sheath of the Future" is manufactured from 7075-T6 Aluminum with a nylon lining and stainless steel hardware. It features two attachment methods of securing to the owner’s kit: MOLLE/PALS or looping through a belt. Additionally, it features two methods of retaining the knife: a locking latch and a friction latch.
The knife's lack of a choil to prevent snagging, and the “The Sheath of the Future,” cements the GSOCK as true combat knife for a new generation of warfighters.
Made in the U.S.A. Guaranteed for Life.

This video with Bill and Lou goes in depth about all the features of the knife and why it was designed the way it was. They describe it much better than I could.

Now this is not a cheap knife- about $400 for the knife, and another $400 for the sheath or get both for $750 if you buy the kit- but it may be the only knife you need to buy.
I know if I was getting deployed, or got cast on the show Survivor, out of all the knives I have this is the one I would take with me.
