I just picked up a MCX Rattler and I’m looking for a muzzle device to mount my AAC 7.62SDN6. I know brakes can be bone shattering on SBR’s but also have heard they are preferred when running suppressors.  I never plan on shooting this thing unsuppressed. Any issues running a muzzle brake instead of a flashhider?

I normally run brakes on sbrs. The baffles in the brake become a sacrificial piece to help keep the fire cutting and unburned powder sandblasting away from the blast baffle of the suppressor.

I know the stock handguards are too tight for a suppressor to set back under.  You may have clearance issues with the horns on the gas plug blocking the suppressor from locking all the way back.

Any luck OP?
