Is the “light 12” a viable model? Any ones to stay away from or work better then others?

I did 2x Remington model 11’s a few years ago, in 12g and 20g.  All it took was a barrel cut and making sure the springs were good.  These were super popular a few years ago and never heard of any originals of copies that had issues.
