If one fills out a 5320.20 for temp transport and in box 8 you enter Uncle Bill's address or Plinking Shooting Range etc.  Then you stay in the state you've been approved to temp transfer to? (You get an apartment or buy a home)  Go permanent.

This creates a few questions for me when submitting a new 5320.20 for permanent address change:


* In box 5 can you enter your new residence/address to have the forms returned to?

* Under box 3 "dates in transit", what do you enter?  The NFA items are already there in the new state.

* In box 7 "transporting from" do you put the original address since that's' where said NFA items are currently registered?  Or, do you enter Uncle Bill's address or Plinking Shooting Range?  This is where the NFA items now are or are approved to be used at.  


I'm sure I'm over thinking it but any guidance would be appreciated.

I'd just put the same address in both boxes and type an explanation in box 6 that your making the temporary transport permanent.

Still wondering what one would put in for "dates in transit".  Even if it's a permanent move it appears to be required under box 3.

Don't put anything in the "to" box because it's permanent. I've moved from WI to MI to WI and that's what I did both times.
