i made a video on how a 50cal bullet expands when it is shot subsonic in some milkjugs
needless to say, there was no expansion using powerbelt HP bullets.

anyone has some tips on softer bullets?

I'd try these, especially since you're specifically told in the Maxim's manual NOT to use powerbelts or sabots..

Lubed 275gr Lead HPs

Hornady PA Conicals 240gr

ETA: work up your load to push these to 1000fps, 1050 if you can.  Every bit of added velocity will increase your chances of getting expansion.
(Saw your other vid where your powerbelt load was around 880fps?)

Thanks, i already ordered some pure lead powerbelts, but i will try the maxi hunters next!
