Anyone have experience with Vihtavuori 20N29 in 50 BMG. I have some along with Hornady 750 AMAXES and may get some solids while/if I can still find them....

Specifically for use in 29" M82A1 and also general comments wanted. Thanks!

Why not use 867 or 872?

VV20N29 is a little slow for the 750 class bullets.
I use it for Cutting Edge 802s and LeHigh 808s.

With the 750 you would be better off with H50 BMG in 215-225 weight range.
You can seat them mag length and they do very well.

DO NOT believe some of the reloading data that says 233gr of H50 BMG for the AMAX without working up very carefully.

Edited to add, should have read Hoser's response first, he's spot on.

I have a good supply of 20n29 and small amount of US869- No Hodgdon 50 BMG powder to be found for some reason. Do those bullets you use work OK in an M82???
