I don’t venture out of the NFA sections, so this may have been discussed elsewhere. I’m going to post it here because I’m sure some of you SBR owners might like this product if you’ve never seen it before.

Stumbled across an ad for a muzzle device advertised as a 5050 Can + Shroud. Imagine a flash can, but the threads are in the middle. I ordered one to replace a linear comp on a 11.5” 5.56 AR pistol.

They offer 1.25” and 1.5” diameter, and choose between 1/2-28 or 5/8-24. Overall length is 4.25”, and it has a 1.5” end and a 2” end (lengths of the open area) so it can be installed either direction. My build had a real slim PSA rail, and just inside the rail was a ridge. So I cut the 2” end down to ~1” and installed it with the 1” side tucked and the 1.5” becoming my flash can. I’m digging it. They do offer custom thread pitches based on what I see on their site.

Yep, that seemed to be the point. Thought it was kinda neat, and I had the perfect host, so I snagged one.
