Hello all, hope you are enjoying the balmy spring weather (95F here).

I'm collecting supplies to create handloads using the 55 grain TTSX bullets. I've enough brass, bullets, and primers to get started. The powders I've been able to buy are H335, AA2200, AA2230. The published data from Barnes, Hodgdon, and Accurate make it look like H335 will be the MV champ, but I'd like to get some feedback from anyone who has loaded that bullet with any of those powders.

Ordinarily I'd sacrifice MV for other factors, but lots of forum posts here and elsewhere seem to indicate that Barnes' TSX and TTSX want to be pushed hard not only for expansion but also accuracy.

TIA

Honestly, just load up and shoot. Your rifle is an individual.

I personally would opt for 335 and 2230 over the 2200 though.

I use that bullet a lot to hunt hogs with. I have been loading 25.5grs of H335

My 2 favorites are.
25.2 grains of AA2460  or
25 grains of AA2230.
I have had good luck with
25 grains of H335.

The 55 gr TTSX played well for me with H335.

H335 was very easy to meter. The TTSX seems to like to be seated deep.

Never used that bullet, but of the powders you list, H335 worked the best for me in a variety of bullets weights.

Awesome, thanks everybody!

Troll_toes, that's exactly what I have in mind. That, and velociraptors.
