Looking to buy an AR style 5.56 sbr. No interest in building one. Looking to spend no more than $2k total. I like the Troy SOCC CQB and the Saint Edge Sbr. Any other SBRs I should be looking at? I would say the Troy is higher than the Saint at this point. Thanks.

Do you consider slapping an upper and a lower together building?
Otherwise, look at what capitol armory has to offer
I wouldn’t buy a Troy based on political views but since this is tech, I’d tell you to google them

GB seems to have a lot of 6933s right now at about half of your budget.

I have been impressed with my BCM 10.5

I will add that I’ll be shooting it suppressed some too. Is the best option to get a rifle with an adjustable gas block, or does it really matter much?

You're willing to spend $2k on the rifle; $80 for an adjustable gas block will be pennies well spent.

can you get a KAC SBR for under $2k? I know the uppers can be had for well under $2k used.

Do you have a work bench?  Just build your own, you pick the parts you want in your rifle.  It’s not exactly rocket science building a rifle, it’s fairly easy and fun to build your own.

There are colt 6933 for $1040 on gunbroker. You can have one with an aimpoint and all taxes and transfer fees under $2000.

I have no personal experience with colt, but I have never heard bad things and they have a huge fan base (probably for a reason).

I would build imo. I built my only sbr. It was nice to be able to get quality where I wanted and still keep the cost as low as possible.

Noveske N4 PDW 10.5in. Same as their "ghetto blaster" model. I haven't seen it available on any commercial websites, but it is available on Noveske's website.

Colt 6933 is cheap enough and mine always work.

Haven't stuck any cans on them yet so time will tell if that changes function.

Buy a BCM 11.5 and attach it to any lower of your choosing.

I've been very happy with my DDM4 V7 11.5 upper on my Noveske lower, and Sendra RR

I've got the bootleg adjustable carrier set to least gas and it runs flawlessly in semi or full with an AAC Mini 4 on either lower

Get a LMT. I doubt anyone can argue that their quality isn't up to snuff and they aren't anti-2A like some of the companies listed above. You could also buy a KAC upper and put it on a different lower and be around $2k.

I would go with a Hodge MOD 2 (or "MOD 1.5", currently, to hit your budget) 12.5" or a KAC 11.5". Whichever you can find to meet your budget/availability.

I went with a complete BCM lower, did a form 1 then ordered an 11.5 BCM upper. Does great suppressed.
