If you're asking if .308 Winchester ammo can be substituted for .308 Norma Magnum ammo, the answer is no.

Absolutely not.
Looks like you can make brass from a couple different cases. I bet the case and barrel life would be great if you down-load it to 308 velocity for nostalgic plinking. |

No, you can not fire .308 Winc. / 7.62x51 ammo in a 308 Norma Mag chambered firearm.
Any attempt to do so will produce a very dangerous condition. Depending on the bore condition, and if it shoots to your expectations, I "think" it could be rechambered to a much more common .300 Win. Mag. ( Ammo is far more readily available ) Don't quote me on that , ask a gunsmith. Make sure it could still feed properly if you had it rechambered. |
