I have many of each for my 20mm form 1 i have YET to build.
wondering which are more ideal to shoot. it seems the newer ones have a smaller copper band, no doubt to save on cost. one can only assume that more is better in terms of bullet stability and getting it to spin as it should?

thicker band

thinner band

I will ask an expert, who should be here shortly, but that looks like the band was removed? I bought 20,000 projos and every single one of them as the driving band. Looks as if they were pulled or melted off for the scrap copper???

that would be silly as they are worth FAR more in tact than scrap copper...

Meant to say also as part of the demil process but you would be surprised at what people demil for material.

Not sure what you guys are paying for them but I believe we paid .50 cents each. The brass cases should be here in the next week or so then the real fun of resizing comes in. We have a M61A1 Vulcan in our inventory and working on a diesel starter conversion instead of the hydraulics that it came with.

One is brass, one is sintered iron....the sintered iron bands are thinner...

Also note the difference in shape, the top projectile is the old design, the bottom is a newer shape, more streamlined, less blunt...I have some examples I'll get some pics of....
