I recently filed a form 1 for a 14" 870. What are you guys doing for barrels? I see the shockwave barrels from time to time.
The shotgun I form oned has Scattergun Technology ghost ring sights on it so will have to add a front sight or take off a rear sight. I would also like to get something with choke tubes. Unless you guys talk me out of it. I may use it next year for grouse. |

Look at this site: 14" factory barrels
I've bought several barrels and other parts from this guy (J.D. McGuire). He's a good guy and can likely get other barrels for you if he doesn't have what you want on his site at the moment. I have a couple of SBS guns that are threaded for chokes, but I had to have a gunsmith do that on mine. |

Rose Action Sports threaded my 870. I’m more than satisfied in every aspect.
@guncat on here I believe. |

If the barrel has the rectangular base and bead and you want that replaced after cutting add $65. Flush style choke tubes are $20 each ETA: This was well over a year ago. Also it is a 20 gauge. YMMV. |

I got a 14” Remington barrel with XS sights from Botach. Best purchase I made for my TAC-14. Going to AOW it and toss a folding brace on (doing that so it isn’t a “shotgun,” in case I ever decide I want something heavier if I visit family for whatever reason).
I did get a Suarez vent-rib barrel... but not that happy with it. They use Chinese barrels, and the first didn’t have the ejector cut in the right place... so could not get the barrel into the receiver. They took it back and got me another. Rifle sights are more better. |

Thanks for all the replies. I picked up a 14" barrel with a Scattergun front sight on it to match my rear. Stamp came back this week too! Will take it out and shoot it this weekend. Need to pick up a new rear stock and sent the barrel out to be choked. Will post a pic when done because gun porn.

I just cut my factory bird barrel-original goal was to make the gun as cheap a build as possible. $139 Walmart clearance gun, $200 stamp.
Then I decided I wanted chokes so I sent the barrel off last week. Hoping to kill a turkey with it this spring. |
