I've been wanting a decent .22 for a while.  But I am not sure which way I want to go.  The 10/22 with the mannlicher stock or the CZ455FS.  One is semi-auto while the other is a bolt action.  They'd see no real use other than poking holes in paper or tin cans.

CZ455FS

I love the look and feel of full-stocked rifles. Ultimately I would say the decision depends on how small you want the paper groups to be. I think the CZ would probably be more accurate, but as we all know, each gun is a critter unto itself. I would buy the CZ and if I didn't like it, I think it would be easier to sell without taking too much of a loss.

I was even looking at one in 7.62x39 from Zastava.

I have both the 10/22 and the CZ 455.

Comparing the 10/22 with the CZ 455 is like comparing Janet Reno with Karolina Kurkova.

Not trying to compare the two really.  More along the lines of how few choices there are for a fun and inexpensive round to shoot combined with a classic mannlicher stock.  Ideally I'd like to have a Cz527 FS in 7.62x39.

Yea I do agree.  Now if I could find one in 7.62x39 I'd be happy.
